What is shadow work?

Shadow work involves acknowledging and embracing one's shadow self. The initial step entails programming the conscious mind to heighten awareness of the subconscious. This involves adopting the role of a nonjudgmental observer, exploring the inner world with curiosity.

Various methods can be employed for shadow work, including meditation, energy work, and journaling. Stream of consciousness journaling, in particular, proves to be an effective means of cultivating a nonjudgmental observation of the shadow.

The common purpose for shadow work are:
Exploring and understanding your past traumas
Identifying and overcoming your limiting beliefs
Examining patterns of behavior in your relationships
